Easy on the Eyes

And easy on the brain.

There is so much data out there.  While browsing energy news, I often find myself overwhelmed by the amount of information available.

It’s always nice when I’m eased into the facts.  This probably explains why I’m such a fan of infographics.

I was fortunate enough to come across GE’s visualization blog which provides some great infographics and videos on GE projects.  Each of their infographics features an excellent balance of information, simplicity, and creativity. The ‘Powering The World’ video was especially eye-catching, and was almost musical in it’s display of data.

I’m always fascinated by the multitude of ways to convey information.  When these statistics become more than just numbers on a page,  it not only adds interest, but understanding as well.

Who knew graphs and charts could be so much fun?
