What Remains

I like infographics. How they meet the challenge of synthesizing complex information into a story – or not. When they are well done they are both beautiful and educational. When poorly done, they are just down right confusing.

This latest one from the BBC makes the grade.
It nicely illustrates the remaining time for the world’s supply of non-renewable resources. The information is simple to read, the data relationships are easy to comprehend and the colour palette is soft and comforting, in sharp contrast to the message.
