There’s an App

The Global Petroleum Show kicks off today in Calgary. If you work in the industry you can register for a free pass. There’s also an free app to help you navigate the event. The app includes a calendar, a complete list of exhibitors by location and category and maps of the 10 venues that are supporting the show. Of course, quick links to social media, locate me and publications are part of the dashboard. Very straight forward, fast to download and might just prove helpful as your wander through Stampede Park this week.

Only one complaint. No direct link to the app. Why is that? The app is featured on screen 5 of the website’s home page rotator. Click on that screen to go to a page on their website that tells you they have an app. Then you need to follow the link to download. QR code that bumps to the store is also located on this secondary web page. Why not the home page? It’s only a two-day event, so go here if you want to download for the iPhone.
